Job Title: Field Technician Certifications Required: California Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) preferred, California Certified Site Surviellance Technician, DOSH Lead Inspector / Assessor
Environmental Consulting Firm, established almost two decades ago as a small business enterprise, has an opening in its Orange County California office for an experienced field technician with positive attitude, strong work ethic, the ability to work independently.
This position reports to President of the company. Primary consulting services consist of: asbestos, lead-based paint, microbial contamination, indoor air quality assessments in both the private and public sectors. Typical projects include field investigations, assessments, testing, remedial design, analytical analysis, proposals and report preparation.
General Job Duties
Perform field activities: Asbestos, Lead-Based Paint Surveys Interact with clients, attend client meetings/job-walks. Provide timely response to bid requests. Understand client needs to develop proper scope of work. Monitor quality control and schedules, and complete projects within budget.
Position Requirements
3+ years of relevant experience All Certs up to date California Certified Asbestos Consultant (preferred); or California Certified Site Surveillance Technician
Consulting experience in the fields of microbial contamination and indoor air quality. Familiar with CA and Federal environmental regulations. Initiative and accountability for the accuracy of information and documentation. Experience interfacing with administrative and client management levels. Expertise with computer software including Word and Excel. Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be customer service oriented and possess the ability to determine client needs. Capable of communicating solutions in layman’s terms. Knowledge of building construction and building mechanical systems.
